…If your struggling like I was, give Real Recovery a shot cause it can help change your life like it changed mine.” – Jamie Bilsky
In Pinellas County, overdose-related emergencies continue to affect families across every community, including Dunedin. Substance use disorders often develop quietly, blending into daily life until the consequences become impossible to ignore. If you or someone close to you is ready to make a change, Real Recovery Solutions provides structured, 12-step–focused Dunedin addiction treatment through our nearby St. Petersburg facility.
Our mission is to reduce the real impact of addiction throughout Dunedin and the greater Pinellas County area by offering accessible, accountable care that supports long-term recovery. Recovery is not about doing everything perfectly. It is about consistency, support, and building a life that no longer revolves around substances. You do not have to take that step alone.
As the Clinical Director at Real Recovery Solutions, Carlos Escobar leverages over 15 years of experience in Substance Use Disorder Treatment, focusing on therapies like CBT and REBT to foster client self-understanding and acceptance. His commitment to innovative, personalized care aims to profoundly improve the lives of those battling addiction and related mental health challenges.

At Real Recovery, we consider ourselves a family. Our staff is hand-picked based on their personal experiences and successes with similar structure-oriented programs. Sometimes we have staff members that have graduated from our program and are looking to grow and mentor peers within the community they have learned from.
We all have unique skill sets that we utilize in a variety of ways whether it be home operations, resident relations, recovery community outreach, and more. We are all available to answer questions or provide resources to residents, families, and friends of people looking for recovery.

Every recovery journey looks different. Personal history, mental health, family responsibilities, and work obligations all play a role in determining the right level of care. At Real Recovery Solutions, we offer multiple levels of treatment that work together, allowing care to adjust as your needs change. Many clients also choose sober living to add structure while rebuilding independence.
Below is an overview of how our programs support clients from Dunedin:
For residents of Dunedin, receiving care through our St. Petersburg location means access to a full continuum of services without leaving the Tampa Bay area or disconnecting from local support systems.
Detoxing on your own can be physically and emotionally risky, particularly with alcohol, opioids, or benzodiazepines. At Real Recovery Solutions, detox is medically supervised and closely monitored to prioritize safety and comfort.
Clients from Dunedin can access supervised detox at our St. Petersburg facility, where medical staff help manage withdrawal symptoms and address complications quickly. After detox, our team coordinates the next level of care so treatment continues without gaps.
Substance use disorders rarely exist in isolation. Many clients are navigating multiple substances, mental health challenges, or instability in work, housing, or relationships. Real Recovery Solutions takes a whole-person approach, building individualized plans that address these overlapping factors.
Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual, but the objective is always the same: stability, accountability, and a life no longer controlled by substances.
Heroin addiction affects physical health, emotional well-being, and personal relationships. Treatment at Real Recovery Solutions addresses each of these areas through medical support, individual therapy, and strong peer accountability.
Clients from Dunedin who attend heroin treatment in St. Petersburg work closely with therapists and peers to identify the drivers of use and build daily routines that support lasting recovery rather than repeated crisis.
Fentanyl continues to pose serious risks due to its potency and unpredictability. Our fentanyl treatment program prioritizes safety first, followed by structure and ongoing support.
Care may include medically supervised detox, overdose education and naloxone awareness, and continued treatment paired with sober living options. For Dunedin residents, seeking help can be the difference between ongoing risk and real stability.
Cocaine addiction often escalates gradually, leading to financial strain, mental health issues, and damaged relationships. Our cocaine treatment program helps clients identify patterns of use and develop healthier coping strategies.
Clients from Dunedin benefit from cocaine addiction treatment that addresses both the behaviors surrounding cocaine use and the underlying stressors that keep it going.
Meth use can significantly disrupt sleep, mood, and decision-making. Recovery requires consistency, accountability, and strong support.
Our meth addiction treatment focuses on stabilizing daily routines, addressing co-occurring mental health concerns, and building a sober support network through 12-step involvement. Clients from Dunedin work step by step toward rebuilding stability and confidence.
Dependence on benzodiazepines can develop slowly and is often overlooked. Stopping suddenly can be unsafe, which is why our approach emphasizes medical oversight and long-term mental health support.
Benzo treatment may involve coordinated medical care, therapy focused on anxiety management, and peer support to help clients regain confidence without relying on medication.
Alcohol use can feel socially acceptable, especially in coastal communities like Dunedin, even when it begins causing real harm. Our alcohol treatment program centers on honesty, accountability, and practical change.
Clients from Dunedin learn to recognize patterns, manage triggers, and build support systems that make sobriety sustainable in everyday life, both socially and professionally.
Recovery is not only about formal treatment. For people living in Dunedin, harm reduction and community-based resources can play a critical role, whether someone is ready for rehab now or still considering their options. Access to safety tools and education can save lives and keep people connected until they are ready for treatment.
Countywide Naloxone Distribution and Overdose Prevention The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County provides free naloxone kits and overdose prevention education to individuals at risk of opioid overdose, as well as family members and community members who may witness an overdose. These services are available throughout Pinellas County, including Dunedin, and can be life-saving while someone considers treatment or waits for services to begin.
County Opioid-Abatement & Recovery Initiatives Pinellas County uses opioid settlement and grant funding to expand access to addiction treatment, prevention, and recovery-oriented services. These initiatives support housing assistance, mental health care, community outreach, and connections to treatment providers, helping residents stay safer while they consider recovery.
Recovery often requires more than clinical care alone. Stable access to food, housing, and basic support can make a meaningful difference, especially early on. Residents of Dunedin can access several nearby organizations for assistance.
If someone enters treatment with Real Recovery Solutions, our case management team can help connect them to these and other community resources. Recovery is strongest when clinical care and real-world support work together.
Finally a sober living that is about helping people on the road to recovery, that adheres to a set of strict standards to ensure the comfort and safety of the clients over an extra dollar being made. These guys practice integrity in an industry riddled with greed. They take sobriety very seriously and operate with professionalism.
I have struggled for many years with a debilitating case of untreated alcoholism , until I made the life changing decision to come to Real Recovery St.Pete. With the support of staff, and residents alike, I am still sober sober 13 months later. I can not say enough good things about this place! Thank you Real Recovery!
I have been to other Sober Living houses and Real Recovery is the best. They drug test to keep people honest. They make sure clients are responsible and clean their house. The House Managers are awesome. If you are serious about recovery this is a great place to live. Several meetings on site.
Real Recovery is the best choice in all regards. Their facilities are amazing, the amount of work and money the owner puts into his properties is unmatched. The programs they have are also the best. House managers are also super involved, go to the same meetings and know what is going on with the clients.
I recently moved into Real Recovery and I have been very impressed! I came from a sober living situation in St. Pete but moved back home to Bradenton. If you are looking for a clean, sober living environment - this is it! Mark is a very open and relatable person to talk to. The men here are open, eager to help, and make you feel welcome.
I been in Real Recovery of Tampa for a month now and it was by far the best decision I ever made after completing 30 days of inpatient rehab at Turning Point. RR is teaching me how important it is to make friends in recovery and to get out of my comfort zone. Thank you to for welcoming and helping me on this journey in recovery.
