It gets better – our St. Petersburg sober living community is a short 19-minute bus ride (5 minutes by car) from SPC’s St. Petersburg/Gibbs Campus.

St. Petersburg College has something called a “Homeless Fee Exemption” program which is part of a statewide program (§ 31009.25, Fla. Stat.; 2020) to help individuals and families who want to create a better life but are experiencing less than ideal circumstances. Before you say, well I’m not homeless… well put your ego aside, remember we’re working on a program of willingness, honesty, and humility. Real Recovery is by definition “transitional housing” which means all residents meet the federal definition of “homeless.”
