At Real Recovery, we operate as a close knit recovery community built on support, accountability, and shared experience. Our team is carefully selected based on lived experience in recovery, success in structured addiction treatment programs, and a genuine commitment to helping men and women achieve long term sobriety. Many of our staff members are graduates of our own residential treatment and recovery programs who chose to stay involved and give back by mentoring clients and supporting the recovery community that helped change their lives.

Each member of our team brings unique strengths that contribute to the success of our addiction treatment and recovery programs. From residential treatment and outpatient care to recovery housing operations and community outreach, every role plays an important part in helping clients rebuild their lives.

At Real Recovery, we consider ourselves a family. Our staff is hand-picked based on their personal experiences and successes with similar structure-oriented programs. Sometimes we have staff members that have graduated from our program and are looking to grow and mentor peers within the community they have learned from. We all have unique skill sets that we utilize in a variety of ways whether it be home operations, resident relations, recovery community outreach, and more. Patrick Slattery

Founder & CEO, CRRA CRSS CRC CEI

Patrick is the owner and operator of Real Recovery Solutions, one of Florida’s largest providers of addiction treatment, residential recovery housing, and sober living services. Since founding Real Recovery in 2016, the program has grown to more than 380 beds for men and women across seven locations throughout the greater Tampa Bay area, providing residential treatment, outpatient addiction treatment, and structured recovery support for individuals seeking long term sobriety. Patrick holds multiple certifications in the recovery field, including Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRRA), Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS), Certified Recovery Coach (CRC), and Certified Event Interventionist (CEI). Having been in recovery himself since 2015, Patrick brings both personal experience and professional leadership to the organization. He was once a resident in a sober living residence similar to the programs he now operates, giving him firsthand insight into the challenges individuals face in early recovery. His philosophy is rooted in the principles of the 12 Steps, accountability, and honest communication. Patrick believes in approaching recovery with a direct, concise, and respectful mindset while creating structured environments that help clients build the foundation for lasting sobriety and a productive life beyond treatment.

Carlos Escobar

Chief Clinical Compliance Officer, LMHC CCTP

As the Clinical Director for Real Recovery Solutions, he brings more than 15 years of experience in the field of substance use disorder treatment. He has developed the program’s clinical framework by combining his extensive background with time tested, evidence based approaches and the guiding principles of the 12 Steps. His clinical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to promote self awareness, emotional resilience, and lasting behavioral change. Through these methods, clients are encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and adopt healthier perspectives in response to life’s challenges. His mission is to improve the lives of individuals impacted by addiction, trauma, and co-occurring mental health conditions. He is committed to delivering high quality, personalized treatment solutions that are designed to improve long term outcomes and support sustainable recovery.

Cprey Noonan

Corey Noonan is a dedicated recovery professional at Real Recovery Solutions with a strong passion for helping men and women overcome addiction and build meaningful lives in recovery. Raised in a military family, Corey developed a deep sense of discipline, resilience, and compassion from an early age. These values continue to shape his approach to supporting clients throughout their recovery journey. A proud graduate of Florida State University, Corey combines a strong academic background with genuine empathy and a client centered approach to addiction treatment and recovery support. Through Real Recovery’s residential treatment, outpatient addiction treatment, and recovery housing programs, he is committed to helping individuals find stability, accountability, and long term sobriety. Outside of work, Corey enjoys spending time on the golf course, where he brings the same focus, patience, and determination that define his work in the recovery field. His personal and professional philosophy is rooted in the belief that with the right support system, structure, and guidance, lasting recovery is possible for everyone.

Brent Lockwood

Site Director, Alumni

As Program Director at Real Recovery Solutions, he brings both professional experience and personal understanding to the recovery process. A 34 year old Florida native, he has worked in the addiction treatment field for the past five years and has maintained his own recovery journey for more than eight years. Recovery has given him a second chance at life, a strong support system, and the opportunity to be more present in his son’s life. His personal experience fuels his passion for helping men and women find hope in recovery, rebuild their confidence, and create a healthier future through residential treatment, outpatient addiction treatment, and long term recovery support. At Real Recovery, he is committed to creating a structured, supportive, and recovery focused environment where clients feel encouraged, accountable, and empowered to grow. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Mark has been a valued member of the Real Recovery team since May 2017. What first began as a place of healing during his own early sobriety has evolved into a meaningful career dedicated to helping others overcome addiction and rebuild their lives. Having personally experienced the challenges of active addiction, Mark is passionate about showing clients that recovery can lead to a fulfilling, purpose driven life. At Real Recovery, he works closely with men and women throughout their recovery journey, helping provide the structure, accountability, and support needed for long term sobriety. Through Real Recovery’s residential treatment, outpatient addiction treatment, and recovery housing programs, Mark helps clients develop healthy routines, rebuild relationships, and create a strong foundation for lasting recovery. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, playing volleyball at the beach, and maintaining strong personal relationships. Sobriety has allowed him to break free from the cycle of depression and substance use, and he now takes pride in helping others experience the same transformation.

Since 2017, he has served as the Director of Recovery Housing Operations at Real Recovery, helping oversee residential treatment support services and structured recovery environments for men and women throughout the Tampa Bay area. His firsthand experience navigating halfway houses and early sobriety has given him a deep understanding of the structure, accountability, and support necessary for long term recovery success. Through years of experience in addiction recovery services, he has helped maintain high standards across Real Recovery’s residential programs with a strong focus on professionalism, accountability, client support, and a positive recovery culture. His leadership helps ensure that clients transitioning through residential treatment, outpatient addiction treatment, and recovery housing receive consistent guidance and support at every stage of care. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to mentor and support hundreds of individuals in early recovery, a role he considers both a privilege and an important part of his own continued sobriety journey.

He has been sober and actively involved in recovery since August 8, 2013. A few years into his sobriety, he was introduced to Patrick’s vision for creating a structured recovery program built on integrity, accountability, and genuine support. Having personally lived in recovery housing during his first year sober, he immediately recognized the importance of providing men and women in early recovery with a safe and respectful environment where they could rebuild their lives. He joined Real Recovery shortly after its founding and has remained a dedicated member of the organization ever since. Today, he serves as a Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRRA), working closely with clients throughout their recovery journey. His role includes mentoring individuals in early sobriety, helping maintain a safe and supportive recovery environment, and guiding clients as they transition through residential treatment, outpatient addiction treatment, and long term recovery support programs. Katie Filler is a Human Resources professional with extensive experience in the behavioral health and addiction fields. Katie’s leadership style centers on empowering and uplifting her team by equipping them with the tools and guidance needed to grow and excel in their roles. With strong communication and problem-solving skills, she works diligently to support both staff and organizational success. Lauren Strickler

Clinical Lead, MS LMHC

As Clinical Lead at Real Recovery Solutions, she believes recovery begins with connection, honesty, and being surrounded by people who genuinely care. With more than a decade of experience in behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment, she combines clinical leadership with a compassionate and hands on approach to helping men and women achieve lasting recovery. She earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Villanova University and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. Her clinical approach incorporates evidence based treatment methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and relapse prevention strategies to help clients create meaningful and sustainable change in their lives. For her, addiction treatment has never been about simply following protocols or relying on clinical language without purpose. It is about helping individuals feel understood, supported, and capable of rebuilding their lives, often for the first time in many years. Her approach is grounded, trauma informed, and authentic, emphasizing consistency, accountability, empathy, and creating an environment where clients can be themselves without fear of judgment. She is proud to help lead a team that values connection, supports one another fully, and remains committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where healing, personal growth, and long-term recovery can truly happen.

Aaron Menchen

Aaron Menchen is the dedicated Site Director of a substance abuse treatment center in New Port Richey, bringing both professional leadership and lived experience to the recovery community. As an alumnus of a sober living program and an individual actively engaged in recovery, Aaron offers a unique perspective rooted in compassion, accountability, and hope. His personal journey allows him to connect authentically with clients, inspiring others through example while fostering a supportive environment focused on healing, growth, and long-term sobriety. Aaron is committed to helping individuals rebuild their lives by promoting recovery principles, peer support, and a strong foundation for lasting change.
