Patrick SlatteryCEO & Founder What Separates Us From The Rest All of our highly-trained staff of recovery specialists and house managers are active members of the 12-step community, we didn’t simply learn about alcoholism or addiction through textbooks – we’ve been in your shoes, walked the desolate path, and experienced firsthand the journey from active addiction to recover from a seemingly hopeless disease. Each sober living location consists of at least one Program Administrator, 24/7 access to house managers, and a strong peer-support network of awesome men who work tirelessly each day to build a better life. Most of our staff are credentialed with certifications in the field of addiction, including Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRR) and Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS). 24/7 Access to Staff in Recovery We want all of our residents to be able to access the best peer support and professional support possible at an affordable cost. All of our staff are in recovery, which we believe is necessary for our staff to be able to truly understand and relate to our residents. More importantly, our staff can help residents through early sobriety with their personal experiences and solutions. Most sober living residences do not have professional staff on-site, but rather residents that are managers to oversee everything. In addition to our staff, we also have resident managers that work hand in hand with our Program Administrators for maximum accountability.Real Recovery prides itself on the accountability we provide for people who truly want to be sober and live a productive life in recovery. Jon StobExecutive Program Administrator, CRRA – St. Pete, Clearwater, FL I’ve been sober and in recovery since August 8th, 2013. A few years into my sobriety, Patrick had talked to me about his plan to start a sober living residence that was clean, had real accountability and integrity. Given my experience being in a sober living myself, back in my first year of recovery, I thought it was a noble endeavor to help guys in early recovery with a respectable sober living environment. I’ve been working at Real Recovery ever since. I am a Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRRA) and I get to interact with newly sober guys at Real Recovery every day. John CunninghamProgram Administrator, CRRA CEI – Brandon, FL I was born and raised in Tampa Florida and I have been sober since 03/05/2016. Addiction really took a hold of me in my early twenties. I tried for many years to get sober, but never had the structure and accountability I needed. In 2016, I was homeless and living in my car. I decided to give sobriety one more chance. While I was in treatment, I heard about Real Recovery opening in St. Petersburg, Fl. It was unlike any sober living I had been before, the perfect mix of Accountability and Community. I ended up becoming a house manager and stayed for almost 2 years while getting my life back on track. About a year and a half ago, I was allowed to give back to Real Recovery and become the Program Administrator of the Brandon Location. I feel that having gone through the program myself gives me a unique ability to relate to the clients and help guide them in the right direction. I am a Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRRA) and a Certified Event Interventionist (CEI). Mark McInnes Program Administrator, CRRA CEI – Bradenton, FL I’ve been employed with Real Recovery since May 2017. Working with these men on a daily basis is truly a privilege. Now in my spare time, I get to enjoy being a part of my family, playing volleyball at the beach, and going out with friends. I no longer have to continue the vicious cycle of depression and drug use. Charlie EvansProgram Administrator- New Port Richey, FL I’ve been an Alumni of Real Recovery since 2019.
