Patrick SlatteryCEO & Founder Our Team Patrick Slattery Founder & CEO The owner and operator of Real Recovery Solutions, the largest provider of recovery residences in the state of Florida. The Real Recovery program has 380 beds for men across seven locations in the greater Tampa Bay area. Since starting Real Recovery in 2016, Patrick has obtained his CRRA (Certified Recovery Residence Administrator), CRSS (Certified Recovery Support Specialist), CRC (Certified Recovery Coach) and his CEI (Certified Event Interventionist). Patrick has been in recovery himself since 2015 and was once a resident at one of the sober residences he now operates. His strong foundation in recovery informs his approach and passion for the work he does. Patrick’s philosophy with men in early sobriety comes down to instilling the principles of the 12 steps along with a “direct, concise, polite” attitude. JJ Slattery DOO Sober Living, CRRA CEI Since 2017, he has served as the Director of Sober Living Operations at Real Recovery, bringing firsthand experience and a deep understanding of what it takes to create a structured and supportive environment for men in early recovery. His own journey through various halfway houses has given him the insight and perspective needed to maintain a high standard of care with a strong focus on accountability and a positive, solution driven culture. Over the years, he has had the opportunity to support and guide hundreds of individuals through early sobriety, a role he considers not only a privilege but also a vital part of his own ongoing recovery. Carlos Escobar Clinical Director, LMHC CCTP As the Clinical Director for Real Recovery Solutions, he brings more than 15 years of experience in the field of substance use disorder treatment. He has developed the program’s clinical framework by combining his extensive background with time tested, evidence based approaches and the guiding principles of the 12 Steps. His clinical approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) to promote self awareness, emotional resilience, and lasting behavioral change. Through these methods, clients are encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and adopt healthier perspectives in response to life’s challenges. His mission is to improve the lives of individuals impacted by addiction, trauma, and co-occurring mental health conditions. He is committed to delivering high quality, personalized treatment solutions that are designed to improve long term outcomes and support sustainable recovery. Jon Stob Executive Program Administrator, CRRA CEI He has been sober and actively working a recovery program since August 8, 2013. A few years into his sobriety, he was introduced to Patrick’s vision for creating a sober living residence built on integrity, structure, and real accountability. Having lived in a sober home during his first year of recovery, he immediately saw the value in helping others navigate that critical early stage with respect and support. He joined Real Recovery shortly after its founding and has been a dedicated team member ever since. Today, he serves as a Certified Recovery Residence Administrator (CRRA) and takes pride in working directly with residents. His day-to-day role includes mentoring newly sober individuals, maintaining a safe and respectful living environment, and helping each person take meaningful steps toward long term recovery. John Cunningham Business Development, Alumni Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, he has been sober since March 5, 2016. His struggle with addiction began in his early twenties and continued for years as he searched for a path to recovery. Without structure or accountability, progress was difficult. By 2016, he was homeless and living in his car when he made the decision to give sobriety one final, honest attempt. While in treatment, he learned about the opening of Real Recovery’s St. Petersburg location. It offered something different from other sober living homes he had experienced. The blend of accountability, structure, and peer support was exactly what he needed. He became a house manager and remained in the program for nearly two years while rebuilding his life. He brings firsthand insight and empathy to the role. Having gone through the program himself, he offers a unique perspective and deep connection with the clients he now supports. Mark McInnes Site Director, CRRA CEI Alumni Mark has been a valued team member at Real Recovery since May 2017. What began as a place of healing in early sobriety has grown into a mission driven career, allowing him to give back to others who are walking a similar path. Having experienced the depths of active addiction, he now takes pride in showing others just how meaningful and fulfilling life in recovery can be. He considers it a privilege to work with the men at Real Recovery each day, helping them rebuild their lives with structure, accountability, and hope. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family, playing volleyball at the beach, and maintaining healthy relationships. Sobriety has allowed him to break free from the destructive cycle of depression and drug use, and now he helps others do the same.
