…If your struggling like I was, give Real Recovery a shot cause it can help change your life like it changed mine.” – Jamie Bilsky
For those living with addiction in Belleair, Florida, Real Recovery Solutions in St. Petersburg delivers a structured and accountable recovery program. Our approach ensures clients develop the skills and support needed to thrive in everyday life, creating progress that lasts well beyond treatment.
Belleair is one of the most beautiful places to live in Florida. Even with all that Belleair has to offer, we know that the beach is the best place to be. After planning a picnic, enjoying the warmth, and taking a walk along the water, we look out across the water as the sun sets, the future clear on the horizon. But for some, the horizon isn’t so clear. Neighbors in Belleair living with cocaine addiction can find it overwhelming to start their recovery journey. Cocaine use on the Suncoast resulted in 857 deaths in 2024. This is an overwhelming number, but for those ready to take the first step, the horizon is closer than they think.
As the Clinical Director at Real Recovery Solutions, Carlos Escobar leverages over 15 years of experience in Substance Use Disorder Treatment, focusing on therapies like CBT and REBT to foster client self-understanding and acceptance. His commitment to innovative, personalized care aims to profoundly improve the lives of those battling addiction and related mental health challenges.

At Real Recovery Solutions, we provide a comprehensive continuum of care focused on results. Treatment plans are fully customized to meet the unique needs of each client, addressing the mind, body, and spirit. Our programs combine trauma-informed individual therapy, collaborative group therapy, and 12-step–based programs to create a powerful, structured recovery environment.
We guide clients at every stage, from medical detox to outpatient care. Men in our sober living program experience structure, accountability, and community support that reinforce lasting recovery.
Here’s a look at what treatment at Real Recovery entails:
Stopping a substance suddenly isn’t just uncomfortable; it can be dangerous. Withdrawal symptoms like seizures, dehydration, and hallucinations can hit hard, and attempting to endure them alone is risky. Medical detox provides a safe, supportive environment with 24/7 care from trained professionals, helping you manage symptoms and give your body, mind, and spirit the attention they need to start healing.
While medical detox is often the first step for treating alcohol use disorder (AUD) and substance use disorder (SUD), it’s not always needed. Substances such as alcohol, benzodiazepines, fentanyl, and heroin have powerful effects on the brain, making professional supervision critical.
At Real Recovery, we start with a detailed physical and psychological assessment. This helps us understand each client’s unique situation and decide if medical detox is the safest and most effective starting point.
For many people, heroin addiction begins as a way to relieve pain. However, it can quickly develop into a physical dependency, increased tolerance, and a numbing of life’s everyday joys. Heroin addiction often coexists with mental health struggles, which can make the path to recovery feel distant.
Heroin addiction treatment at Real Recovery is unique to each individual. It typically begins with a medical detox overseen by trained staff around the clock. After detox, therapy focuses on the roots of addiction through individual and group sessions, helping clients build accountability, community, and the structure needed for long-term recovery.
Even a small dose of fentanyl can quickly disrupt both mind and body, making decision-making feel impossible and creating persistent anxiety and irritability.
Fentanyl addiction treatment begins with a detailed assessment to identify a client’s unique needs, experiences, and history. Following this, therapy includes individual, family, and group sessions. Clients often benefit from a blend of evidence-based approaches, like cognitive-behavioral therapy, alongside holistic therapies such as yoga, art therapy, and music therapy to support full-spectrum recovery.
Cocaine addiction can start as a way to stay alert, feel confident, or handle daily pressures. Over time, however, cravings grow stronger, and creating distance from the drug becomes increasingly challenging.
Treatment for cocaine addiction begins by examining the underlying factors contributing to addiction, such as mental health concerns and environmental stressors. From there, clients follow a personalized plan that combines the 12-step program with individual and group therapy, fostering accountability, structure, and support.
Meth addiction often begins as a tool to enhance energy and push through the day, but over time, it can lead to dependence, isolation, and a diminished sense of self-worth. Those struggling with meth addiction may experience strong cravings, memory and focus challenges, and growing distance from friends and family.
Our trained medical staff at Real Recovery develops individualized meth addiction treatment plans. Through our sober living program, clients participate in the 12-step program alongside evidence-based therapies like CBT, targeting the underlying causes of addiction, including mental health and environmental factors, to foster long-term recovery.
Addiction to prescription drugs arises when medications are misused or taken outside their intended purpose. Opioids, benzodiazepines, and stimulants are among the most commonly misused prescription medications. Stimulants, often prescribed for ADHD, can be misused by individuals without ADHD to achieve increased focus or energy, which may lead to dependence and increased tolerance over time.
At Real Recovery, prescription drug addiction treatment starts with a comprehensive assessment and medical detox when necessary. Clients receive physical and psychological evaluations to uncover any underlying mental health issues. Care continues with individualized and group therapy, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and structured aftercare support to ensure a strong foundation for recovery.
Benzodiazepines, including Xanax, Klonopin, and Valium, are frequently prescribed for anxiety, panic, and sleep disorders. While they may be effective initially, extended use can lead to dependence and addiction as tolerance increases.
Benzodiazepine addiction treatment at Real Recovery begins with a medically monitored detox to safely manage withdrawal, which can be severe. After detox, clients receive personalized care through individualized treatment programs and ongoing aftercare support to ensure a safe and sustainable recovery journey.
Sustainable recovery requires more than treatment alone—additional resources help keep you on track. Addiction treatment is just one part of the journey. Community and addiction resources offer support for those beginning their recovery or continuing after completing our program:
